All About Moto

Past. Present. Future.

Embarking on a journey that began with six strings, Chris honed his craft self-taught, guided by an ear finely tuned to the nuances of his favorite recordings. This spirit was a prelude to his affinity for rhythm and the art of drumming—a pursuit that sharpened his instinct for audio equilibrium and texture.

Discovering a world where melody takes a step back, Chris embraced the broader spectrum of sound, allowing him to listen, discern, and appreciate the collective harmony of music.

This innate skill and enthusiasm propelled Chris into the audio engineering landscape. Aware of the music industry's competitive and demanding nature, he employed a blend of self-assurance and a sociable attitude to make his mark in Oakland's live music scene. His adeptness and character quickly spread by word of mouth, catapulting him to become one of the Bay Area's most sought-after audio engineers.

Renowned as "The Town’s Engineer," Chris collaborates closely with the City of Oakland, providing vital audio support for prominent music series and events. His pivotal role during Oakland's live music resurgence secured him as the chief audio engineer at the forefront of the city's vibrant small venue movement, particularly at Awaken Cafe. Moreover, his expertise extends to working as an A1 for esteemed event companies, ensuring each production is aurally immaculate.

Now, Chris is the master of his domain at MotoAudio, his home studio sanctuary where he crafts and refines recordings—ranging from singles to full-length albums.
